He is Harb bin Ismāʿīl bin Khalaf al-Ḥanẓalī al-Kirmānī, Abū Muḥammad. His specific year of birth is not known with certainty save that al-Ẓahābī mentions he reach ninety years of age. Thus, his birth was around the end of the second century hijrah and Fāyiz bin Aḥmad who published Ḥarb's Masāʾil states 190H as the year in which he was born.
